The committee approved a project to update the Abu Dhabi technical specifications for lighting at the meeting as proposed by the Abu Dhabi Municipality. The project will warrant the inclusion of the latest technologies in lighting in accordance with international standards. The committee also reviewed project requests submitted by the Khalifa bin Zayed Foundation for Humanitarian Works, on an initiative to support National families, and the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters to develop technical guidelines for the safe use of bicycles. It was agreed at the meeting that these requests will be included in the Conformity & Standards Services Sector 2021 operational plan after being evaluated according to the Council’s procedures.

Finally, the committee reviewed the progress of the projects approved in the 2021 plan, which are being carried out by the Council in cooperation with the concerned authorities in the emirate.
