Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council has launched the Trustmark (Abu Dhabi Trustmark) which indicates product's compliance with safety, environmental and performance standards, in addition to administrative and production systems compliance with the Conformity Program.
The Abu Dhabi Trustmark has three main applications:
Abu Dhabi Trustmark
A mark that is granted to products that meet the basic requirements of the Conformity Program. These requirements include safety and performance requirements.
Legal Metrology Trustmark
Granted for legal measuring instruments, such as scales used in retail stores and pumps used in petrol stations. Tools carrying this mark indicate their conformity to UAE and international standards.
The Trustmark for Environmental Performance
Granted to manufacturers who meet the requirements of the Conformity Program, which includes health, safety and performance requirements as well as environmental performance requirements (can be granted in, but not limited to, the following areas):
- Efficiency of water use
- Energy efficiency
- Efficiency of carbon emissions
- Reducing the amount of toxic
- High solar reflective index (SRI materials)
- Recycled Content
