Abu Dhabi, February 21, 2023: Coinciding with the UAE Innovation Month, the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC) has won the Gold award for its innovative achievements in propelling growth at the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Stevie Awards.
Winning the prestigious award reflects QCC’s success and excellence in delegating laboratory testing services to local private companies, strengthening the strategic partnership between the Council and the private sector, leading to sustainability, quality and reduction in the cost of its services in Abu Dhabi.
Commenting on the achievement, His Excellency Dr. Helal Humaid Al Kaabi, Secretary General, QCC, said that the achievement fulfils the directives of the country's leadership and government to enhance public-private partnership to improve the quality of infrastructure services, accelerate development while rationalizing spending.
"The Council is committed to support and develop the local industrial sector by providing expert laboratory testing services with the help of qualified local human resources, boosting quality and meeting the requirements of government agencies for new and high-quality services," he said.
His Excellency said the Council's strategic goals are to develop and improve laboratory testing services focusing on competitive advantage to achieve social and economic benefits, through strategic partnerships with the private sector, adding that the Council has been able to delegate over 20 local private sector companies to provide testing services across building materials, construction and the environment.
His Excellency said that delegating private companies to provide laboratory testing services contributed to meeting the requirements of government agencies and in reducing investments and operating expenses, apart from strategic development of services with the help of technology, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The Middle East and North Africa Stevie Awards was launched in 2002 to honor positive and effective achievements and contributions of organizations and professionals across the world, especially in the business realm for their distinguished services, including in their future projects in quality infrastructure.
