Abu Dhabi, July on 28 2022: The Permanent Technical Committee for Abu Dhabi Technical Standards of the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC) issued the updated Abu Dhabi Guideline for Standard Drawings, which contain the technical guidelines for implementing sustainable development projects in Abu Dhabi.

The guide lays out procedures for relevant authorities, project developers, planners and engineer on how to prepare standard drawings for projects. The guideline has been prepared in partnership with the Department of Municipalities and Transport, represented   by the municipalities of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra, in addition to the Integrated Transport Center and the Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanada).

Saif Al Bakri, Director of Specifications Services Department at QCC said the guideline focuses on implementing procedure, planning and design, and technical aspects for projects from the start-up stages, aligned to international standards in order to reduce the cost of operation and maintenance.

Kholoud Al Marzouqi, Director of Infrastructure Regulation and Operation Department - Planning and Infrastructure Sector in the Department of Municipalities and Transport, said that working with QCC was  an important step in creating uniform standards in Abu Dhabi to ensure business sustainability, and application of best practices in the urban development sector.

He added that the Department of Municipalities and Transport works with a clear strategy to unify procedures and scope of work that contributes to saving time of project implementation.

The guide included updating the standard graphics specifications in the ISDL Infrastructure Specifications Guide for Abu Dhabi, collecting technical circulars and including them in the revised version of the guide for international best practices, providing a unified approach for all users.
