The meeting discussed a number of technical documents, most notably the “Abu Dhabi Guidelines for Agricultural Maintenance Operations” prepared by the Department of Municipalities and Transport in collaboration with the Environment Agency, Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, Tadweer, Abu Dhabi Distribution Company, Al Ain Distribution, and representatives from the private sector.

The guide aims to standardize the criteria and procedures to be followed in the maintenance of agricultural assets to support maintenance operations, raise the efficiency of assets, preserve them, and highlight the aesthetic face of the environment.

The document is a guide that helps individuals, specialists, interested parties, and operation and maintenance contractors follow the best methods and practices to preserve agricultural assets and provide the highest levels of service.

The guide is very important for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi as it contributes to raising the efficiency of the maintenance of agricultural assets, preserving them, highlighting the aesthetic face of the environment, and improving the quality of life.

H.E Brigadier Jassim Al Harmoudi, First Vice Chairman of the Committee, said: “The outputs of the Standard Technical Committee work come as a result of the Council's efforts to achieve its vision to upgrade the quality infrastructure and contribute to enabling the Emirate of Abu Dhabi to stand out globally.”

“The Council works in cooperation with government and private sector partners to develop technical and professional standards in various sectors and strives to ensure quality and conformity in all activities and industries,” he added.
