The Central Testing Laboratory Sector of the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council was established to meet the market's needs for quality infrastructure services and to ensure the protection of consumers in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The Central Testing Laboratory sector is one of the technical sectors in the council. This sector is responsible for developing medicines, ding laboratory testing and certification services in several areas, the most important of which are food and beverages, water of all kinds, the environment, cosmetics and personal care, medicines and medical devices, building materials, agriculture, and radiation, in addition to food-contact packaging materials, by the latest international and local standards and in line with the requirements and requirements of regulators.
The sector also provides value-added services, which include research, studies, consulting, and specialized technical training services.
The Central Testing Laboratory has 162 technical competencies distributed over several service delivery sites in the Emirate. They undergo periodic proficiency tests from international accreditation organizations such as ILAC, ENAS, and IAF.
Keeping abreast of scientific developments and updates in laboratory practices is one of the council's priorities to maintain its presence in the global laboratory system. The goal is to achieve future aspirations in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi through the provision of services certified according to ISO 17025:2017 standards, ensuring the safety and quality of products and components. The Laboratory also seeks to provide job opportunities and specialized training programs in the latest scientific and technological fields.
Since its establishment in 2014, the Central Testing Laboratory has been working to meet the current and future needs of customers from the public and private sectors under the best standards of quality and institutional excellence, whether in terms of the efficiency of providing services, their quality, duration of delivery, or diversity.

G42 Healthcare is considered the strategic partner of the Central Testing Laboratory sector to operate the laboratory technically within a network of affiliated laboratories. In a step to enhance economic and social development and reach the best results that support the various sectors, ADQCC signed an accreditation agreement with G42 Healthcare Company to operate life-science laboratories affiliated with the Central Testing Laboratory Sector in its branches in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.
Through this partnership, the council seeks to expand the scope of Testing Services and develop its operations to meet the needs of government agencies related to the strategies of the local vital and industrial sectors in the Emirate.
To ensure the provision of a wider range of various specialized testing services in line with the requirements of government entities, the council has signed service accreditation agreements with several private sector laboratories, which have branches in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Dubai, to provide testing services to local government entities in the fields of building materials, construction, and the environment.
Through this cooperation, the council aims to enhance the competitiveness of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and provide high-quality services in line with the highest international standards.
The partnership with private sector laboratories has contributed to fulfilling 100% of the current needs of government entities for testing services in the field of building materials and construction. Through the initiative of delegating laboratory testing services to partners from the private sector, the council seeks to contribute to achieving an effective partnership between the government and private sectors in Abu Dhabi to ensure business continuity in the targeted economic sectors.
