Abu Dhabi, October 30, 2024: As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance quality and safety standards in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and its commitment to service development, the Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (ADQCC) has announced the launch of a new program to qualify motorcycle drivers in the delivery sector.

The program, which highlights the importance of coordination between government and private entities to enhance service quality and develop the sector, was launched during a workshop organized by ADQCC in collaboration with the Integrated Transport Centre and Union Accreditation, with over 100 representatives of delivery service operators in attendance.

The “Motorcycle Delivery Driver Conformity Program” aims to ensure that individuals in this sector meet the required quality standards, contributing to improved service levels, creating a safe and reliable work environment, enhancing public confidence in delivery services, and ensuring the safety of delivery workers, benefiting the community.  

H.E. Abdulrahman Al Shizawi, Executive Director of Planning and Strategic Affairs at the Integrated Transport Centre, stated that the Centre aims, through the launch of the program, to develop and qualify workers in the field. The program enhances drivers' skills and promotes safe driving behaviors while fostering a comfortable work environment and supporting economic growth. He emphasized that the “Motorcycle Delivery Driver Conformity Program” is a strategic step towards achieving the highest standards of quality and safety in delivery services.

Engineer Badr Khamis Al Shemaili, Executive Director of the Conformity and Standards Sector remarked: “The launch of this program marks an important step toward improving safety and quality standards in the motorcycle delivery sector. Through the Conformity and Standards Sector and in collaboration with relevant authorities, the Council is committed to providing the necessary support and training to those working in the sector. This ensures the delivery of safe and reliable services to consumers, enhances public trust, and contributes to improving the overall user experience.”
