Abu Dhabi, November 09, 2022: The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC) in cooperation with one of the leading real estate development and management companies in the UAE, Aldar Properties, will provide testing services for building and construction materials at the latter’s Al Riyadh City project in Abu Dhabi with the deployment of an onsite mobile laboratory.
The on-site services at Al Riyadh City development for the UAE Nationals will be provided through a mobile laboratory.
The mobile testing services will be done for quality check on construction materials such as soil and asphalt used in the development of road and infrastructure. The onsite testing services will contribute to saving time and costs since receiving samples and delivering results are fast tacked to speed up the completion of the project.
His Excellency Eng. Abdullah Hassan Al Maaini, Executive Director of the Council’s Central Testing Laboratory Services Sector emphasized that QCC pursues its mandate to develop a quality infrastructure in Abu Dhabi with commitment and in accordance with international standards of conformity. This is done through standardization and development of specifications, building the capabilities of the metrology system, strengthening the testing services’ infrastructure, and launching conformity programs and certificates.
The testing services for professions of individuals, products, safety, health and environment for the benefit of community members, as well as in the construction verticals are done using the best methods available, enhancing the confidence in the quality of construction materials in Abu Dhabi.
He said that the provision of the mobile laboratory testing services in Al Riyadh City, will ensure that building and construction projects are sustainable and in compliance with the required national and international specifications, to enhance Abu Dhabi’s stature in building developed and sustainable cities.
His Excellency said QCC wants to ensure the maintenance of infrastructure in cooperation with strategic partners in the UAE, which will help enhance the vision and aspirations of the country’s wise leadership in building developed and sustainable cities as well as seamlessly facilitating the transactions of individuals, factories and companies with departments and government authorities.

QCC’s Building Materials Laboratory provides physical, mechanical and chemical tests for engineering, infrastructure and building materials and construction products to ensure their conformity with the approved international standards, and to ensure that operations are carried out under requisite national and international norms.
QCC’s mobile lab services and units include soil, aggregate and rock laboratory tests, asphalt and bitumen laboratory, ready-mix concrete laboratory, chemical analysis laboratory and industrial materials laboratory.
