Abu Dhabi, June 28, 2024: The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (ADQCC) held the second steering committee meeting for 2024 for the Monitoring and Reference Analysis Management Services (Rasid Laboratory) in the presence of representatives of government entities and strategic partner M42.

The meeting, which discussed the outcomes of 2023 and the most important strategic projects presented in 2024 to support the concerned entities, was held in the presence of representatives of the Council, strategic partner M42, and stakeholders such as Abu Dhabi Police General Command, Department of Energy, Department of Municipalities and Transport, Department of Community Development, Department of Education and Knowledge, Environment Agency, Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority, Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crises and Disaster Management Center, Abu Dhabi Public Health Center, Abu Dhabi Customs, Statistics Center, and Abu Dhabi Sustainable Water Solutions.

The meeting reviewed the outcomes of the previous meeting, highlighted the tasks and responsibilities of the committee and discussed them among the members, and provided an overview of the outputs of the Rasid Laboratory for 2023, in addition to the most important strategic projects that were presented to support the entities in the Emirate during the past period.
The participants also discussed the operational and financial strategy of the laboratory, which is considered unique in the world as it covers the security, health, and environmental scopes for testing wastewater or wastewater-contaminated water, with a high capacity that made it rank among the first category globally in terms of operational efficiency of laboratories according to the global CAP q-probe scale, which comprehensively assesses key processes and examines the efficiency and quality of operations and resources. 
Predictive models and artificial intelligence for the observed data in collaboration with strategic partner M42, defining the future directions of the committee, and focusing on forming specialized work teams to develop work plans and start implementation were also reviewed during the meeting.

H.E. Engineer Abdullah Al Muaini, Executive Director of the Central Testing Laboratory Services Sector at the Council,said that "Rasid Laboratory plays a pivotal role in supporting government efforts to address security, health, and environmental challenges in the Emirate by providing timely and accurate data and analysis and predicting them before they occur, supporting decision-makers from the concerned authorities in the Emirate."
For his part, His Excellency Engineer Abdulla Al Yazeedi, Executive Director of the Strategic Affairs Sector, said: "We are keen to strengthen our strategic partnerships to develop the capabilities of the Rasid Laboratory and ensure the continuity of its distinguished services to support the efforts of government entities in the Emirate and achieve the desired strategic objectives by using data to build an artificial intelligence system that supports the building of prevention and response plans."

Samara Bin Salem, Director of the Rasid Strategic Project, pointed out that the Monitoring and Reference Analysis Department is equipped with the latest equipment, competencies, and heat maps, which supported the role of the strategic project and put Abu Dhabi on the world map in terms of addressing and preparing for risks of all kinds through an integrated system of examining, locating, and analyzing data through machine learning models (LLM) and building prediction models to develop potential scenarios.
The meeting participants praised the outstanding capabilities of the Rasid laboratory and its ability to quickly and effectively respond to any security, health, or environmental challenges in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
